I'm confused at what you thought the OP was 'trying' by your 'nice try' remark. He simply was curious if anyone in this region had done the swap before since it's not all that common just yet.

It appears he may be the first in New England but not in the overall northeast.

Funny story abut this,

i found a guy on here (Evom) that just bought an x and had close to no miles on his parts and he was parting it out in a month, so i go in contact with him. It turned out to be like $750 for manifold, dp, turbo, o2 housing and then $250 from oem parts for all the oil lines, gaskets, coolant lines, and bolts. So about a grand for a the basic swap. Got tuned by AMS for and bought a BOV there cause i was silly and didnt think to buy a metal one prior. Including stuff the nessisary like a bigger intercooler and custom intake

Everything came to a total of about $2,000

Then i turn around and traded my ralliart turbo set-up for and evo x swap (i paid shipping since i better end of deal) Profited a DP and Exhaust out of this
And sold the setup for 875 shipped

$2,000 - (875 - 300 for shipping) = 1425

Evo X Swap, Evo X Intercooler, Boost pill, Custom SRI and Test Pipe (stock exhaust and evox dp at tune)

Went to AMS and Chris was able to get ~300 hp ~300tq at 24 psi .

Ive since added an exhaust and DP and kinda want to dyno it again before i deploy at the end of May. IDK who id go to near NY though.

The whole swap (turbo, downpipe, manifold n all the bits n bobs) will be abt 400-500 (labour cost), plus tune $500. But I'm installing gauges too so I am thinking $1500 maybe..
It cost me around $1500 for all the parts to do the swap, so u r looking at maybe $3000 in all I would assume, parts n labor..

The swap is great had it done last weekend.. Made the car a beast now and gas milagee is about 23.5 avg on a tank and I have tq everywhere. The fun part is learning to drive it again with the power...
