I'm looking at pics trying to get a reference (there used TCU's available on-line from time to time). I see the black plastic cover, which I believe SSP makes a deeper version to hold more fluid; is it inside of this?

Eventually I imagine we will just be able to reflash it for a MR rom as the physical part numbers are the same between the RA/MR/SE. This will obviously be loads cheaper/easier to do.
You mean I can have S-Sport mode in my RA? I foresee a how-to thread in the future.

Yes, a MR TCU, either physically or with the ROM, allows S-Sport and Launch control in the RA.

Getting either is the hard part, currently.

I predict junkyards being ravaged for this item. I've already been at it, no luck, it's retarded hard to find an MR in the junkyard. I just tried to keep this on the hush so I didn't see some other SE or RA guy looking around in the same junkyards as me

lmao, and total'd Evo's are still pretty expensive. I've glanced a few times too, and they're still 15k+

my tuner joked that we should just tranny swap one from my work (dealership). says it doesn't take "that" much time haha!

Yeah cuz imo if the tcu became available to other sst models the MR would only be good for the bbs wheels.

If that's a 100% in working order MR/SE SST that's a great price.

So my other question is, is hitting this goal realistic on pump gas? I was told at this setup it isn't safe to run e85 as a fuel, only race and pump gas.
