People have been doing the same sort of thing in the Eclipse 3G for years. Raise your hand if you knew that! It does require a custom-made sub-frame and some serious know-how, but this has been done many times. There is also a 3.8L turbocharged, AWD Eclipse in the works, so I hear.
The word on the street is that someone successfully made a manual, AWD Lancer GTS (I haven't confirmed this rumor). Theoretically, the AWD drive-train should be a pretty straight-forward modification in a regular Lancer. Build up a 4B12 with the appropriate hardware, turbocharge, and voila. You would be the coolest kid in the whole school. An AWD, manual, turbocharged Sportback Lancer would be a beast (with the 4B12, no less). It is also cost prohibitive.

- 6 of them are to complain that the Ralliart doesn't come with a manual transmission.
- 1 of them is to say some non-sense about the fact that getting wheel/tire combination with a smaller total diameter would impact engine performance due to the fact that Speed would be off and, in his mind, ECU uses speed to lookup his tables...
- 1 is to excuse from his mistake about the ECU thing

you can get 5spd into the 4b11 ralliart but at a cost of another car.
Anything is possible.
But if you want it that way out of the factory,
RA is not the car for you. GTS or Evo X GSR.
