WTF - steering wheel controls
So I have had this happen to me twice now. My steering when controls get scrambled. The channel up and down controls increased the volume and the volume down button activated blue tooth. Not sure if other buttons were off also. Any one else experience anything like this? I though the blue tooth and radio controls were totally separate?
After I tell the blue tooth cancel and return to listening to the radio the buttons all appear to work properly.
Puzzling!

It's your phone. Do you have an Iphone? This happened to me as well; since i've changed phones to the 4s it stopped.
I think it has something to do with your phone and the BT connection..

Mine has done the same thing. When I press the volume down repeatedly it dials 911 lol and the blue tooth controls won't stop it, I have to wait for the system to ask me if it is correct. it has done this with two different phones.

Let me guess, it has only happened when the steering wheel was positioned off-center while pressing the buttons? It is actually a relatively common problem that requires replacement of the steering wheel clock spring assembly. Should be covered if you are still under warranty, otherwise, just don't press any buttons unless the steering wheel is positioned straight ahead and you should be able to avoid it 99% of the time.

I believe its a setting you can change within the stero itself, not 100% tho. I would imagine it would be easier to change if you go the nav pacakage with touch screen.

You guys hit the nail on the head. I tested it when I was getting on the turn pike the other day and as I was rounding the ramp I pushed a preset button and it did it again. after straightening out and waiting a few minutes it went back to normal. Since I am out of warranty it's prob not worth fixing
