Yeah, we can't brake mid corner with these cars, they weigh too much. Get all your braking done in a straight line, and then coast through the corner. Another thing, if it feels like the car is starting to let go DON'T LIFT, just dig into the throttle a bit more and the AWD will sort it all out.

I won't comment on the details of this accident, but braking mid-corner is bad driving form. Sometimes you can't avoid it on the street, but it's not an ideal situation for a front-heavy car. The weight transfer will add to understeer.

Lift off or braking while in the middle of the apex or going into it will transfer weight to the front while the car is rotating, taking tracking off the rear and will usually lead to oversteer.

Once again, we don't have all the info (exactly at what point braking occurred, etc.).

If this was mid-corner braking or lifting throttle oversteer, that doesn't seem to be consistent with the pictures. The car didn't seem to have the added rotation of oversteer, it looked like it plowed.

A picture of the intersection would help. If this is a pending insurance claim, and if this was due to oil or something on the road that caused the lack of grip, it might have helped to take a picture of that to avoid a dangerous driving charge.

Definitely looks like whatever it was, wasn't the back hanging out and hitting something...

stock wheels and tires ... "hair pin" @ 40 ... "turned wheel and the car 'did what it wanted' " ... i'm guessing understeered straight into a curb

AWD is great at improving the handling of cars by a pretty good margin. However, it does not work miracles. 3500lbs of car over comes that 7" or 8" contact patch very easily...

Who fault that for. The insurance company shouldn't pay you jack due to your careless driving on the road. This is not a Tokyo drift car. LOL! Lesson learned. Not trying to hate or anything just telling you how it is.

WTF kind of sense does that make. By this same logic, whenever someone if found to be at fault their insurance company shouldn't pay jack. "Driving too fast for road condition" insurance won't pay, "5 mph over the speed limit" insurance won't pay. It's INSURANCE. The OP will end up paying in the long run in the form of higher premiums.

Kind of a ridiculous response here. Yeah, I'm sooo sure that with ALL the mods that you've listed as being done to YOUR car, that you never allow yourself to have a little driving "fun"....
