Weird ignition issue?

I didn't think anything of it the first time it occured but since it occurred again yesterday I've become a little bit worried.

Basically it seems like in really cold & wet weather, my 09 Ralliart can have a bit of trouble starting on the first go of turning the ignition. Is this a known issue?

The first time it happened was a couple of weeks ago and I panicked for a few seconds before trying to start the car a 3rd time and it started up fine. It then had no such issues for two weeks but it occured again yesterday in cold (~10C) and extremely wet weather.

Wouldn't start at the first turn of the key but I tried a second time and it worked.

Any ideas on what it could be? The car started fine again this morning despite the cold weather but it wasn't raining this time...

If you've never changed the fuel pump relay, try the following link:

Thanks for that, much appreciated.

I haven't changed the FPR yet, though I'm wondering could anything else be the culprit?

Just an update - I think it's my spark plugs that are going bad.

Had a friend look at it and described some of the symptoms and he's 70% sure it's the spark plugs.

I've been noticing the following:
- Inconsistent ignition issues
- Decreased acceleration
- Odd but small fluctuations in the revs while idling

Does that sound about right for bad sparks?

If you can post the photos of your spark plugs. That would be easier to know.
