Throwing codes

The answer to my question may be on this forum already but I tried searching to no avail. If I am throwing 02 codes because of a TBE, can they be tuned out? I forget the codes (have them at home and will add to this thread later) but they are both 02 related and the only reason I can see is the TBE. I have cleared them with a OBD scan tool and they come right back. I disconnecteed my battery as well. I wouldn't mind just ignoring them since they dont seem to effect performance but if I throw another code, I wont know since the 'service engine soon' light is on all the time. Any guidance from my brethren would be appreciated.

if it's for the rear o2 you can turn that particular code, but you won't be able to pass an obd2 emissions test. otherwise you can mess around with spacers and such.

I find that hard to believe, it's the single most common issue for newly modded cars.
Try typing in what the code is.

Ok so codes are 0133 and 0420. I know I can get rid of the 0420 with a spark plug fouler, what I am not sure about is the 0133 which is for the o2 sensor before the cat...guess I will need to replace. Do the universal ones work or should I use model specific? Price difference is staggering. A model specific one is just south of $300!

I've never looked it may be an AFR sensor which would explain the price.

i replaced my rear o2 with a universal heated o2 cause the oem one died and it worked fine for about a week so i could pass emissions then i think the new o2 died as well but its probably cause im catless so ill say it should work plus the universal ones are $70 if it doesnt work then you can drop ~$300 for an oem denso one

You need a better fouler.. I WAS getting the same code till you find fouler with a smaller opening or get one of the "L" shaped spacers.
