At what hp would you consider a ra fast?

Considering what is fast is such a nebulous statement. The problem with buying a car around speed is it becomes an arms race. I mean by speed do you want straight line speed? Or do you want speeds over 155mph? I mean to me speed is relative... the minute you make your car fast something comes out that is way faster.

Look at the Mustang Boss 302... that car is amazing but i would take a Porsche Cayman S over it which is slower. Don't doubt though that the Cayman S is fast and it handles far better then the Boss 302.

But i mean i just find it interesting because no matter what speed you get someone's car is going to flog you and make you pour more money into either buying a new car or upgrading your car to new heights.

300 awhp in a RA and you'll break off most random fools on the street. Now if you go to an organised event, that might be a different story.

~300 to 350 WHP is when it starts to be fast and unless your wanting to spend crazy money that would have been better spent on starting with an EVO first anyways, that is generally where you wanna stop. You can reach that target with around 3-5 grand of parts...including enough suspension and brakes bits to not cause death.

My RA Sportback at a little under 400whp on a proper Mustang Dyno has no problem showing it's hatch getting smaller and smaller in the distance to most cars that think it's just a "normal" RA.

Lately it's created many puzzled looks on faces of owners of new V8 powered cars, domestic and european.

I find my full bolt-ons with GST 93 oct AEM + TBE tune is good to make most people that have never been in a sportscar scream or get scared... including some full-grown men too! Last virtual dyno pull was about 310whp 340wtq dynojet numbers. Fast is relative, but the large majority of passengers in my car feel it is 'fast'

330-340whp 300-330 trq is fast. 500whp 400trq is give your passenger whiplash fast.

I am talking about an Evo here not an RA which I dont know all that much about but looking quickly it seems everyone is saying the trans wont handle whiplash fast...

My brother has a evo x with stage 2 cobb 91 oct that ive driven several times, puts out about 20 whp more than my RA if I were to guess. He has an exedy twin disc, and the shear brutality of that clutch makes it much scarier to passengers. Its much harder to get that feeling from the SST because it is soo smooth, a lot of the times I find myself going a fair bit over the speed limit without noticing if I dont shift it manually. So I generally agree, if you are trying to get that scary fast feeling, your life would be easier with a gsr

99% of posts that talk about races from a roll are street racing.
