Western Canadian SST Techs

Are there any mechanics in western canada (looking more towards vancouver) that do work and upgrades on sst transmissions? Done a fair bit of searching but havent found anything?

what are you looking to get done?? I'm in van also and I don't think there's any RA's up here who's pushing enough power to require transmission upgrades.

i remember hearing theres a shop that works on evo x's in richmond and one in squamish. Id guess to ask them as they will be the best way of knowing. Did either of you guys find a place to get tuned around here?

Mainly would like to know for when the day comes that the warranty is up on the car and the clutch packs eventually go that there's a place around that can work on them, also to know that there's someone around would also give some incentive towards a more powerful car . Don't know of any tuners that work on ralliarts in the area. I'm sure with enough digging someone might turn up.

rocket rally charges an arm and a leg, case in point they wanted $1000 for a pro tune for full bolts ons + Rad lite and 3 port, i'm planning on going to english racing for my work as they wanted less than half what rocket quoted me

but with regards to transmissions SSP recomended lightspeed innovation in red deer, i'm not just saying that because i have a calibration from them either

i'm sure theres of shops in cali, washington or oregon.. i just didn't look very hard

The climate is SOOO much different in Red Deer compared to Vancouver and I wouldn't recommend getting tuned in Alberta if residing in Vancouver. Portland has some shops, including Cobb etc.

English Racing in southern washington is about the best tuner for evo's in this State. Id give them a call, check out there website and videos. Also they come recomended by many on the Pacific NW forum section.

Yea I stopped by there asked if they have any experience tuning the SST trans but not really any at all. Said they could get support from Cobb if necessary but I mean I'll be going down to Cobb in Portland next near to get tuned. $85 an hour compared to $240 at Rocket Rally. They seem to be really big on Subarus and that's where a lot of their expertise is.

I am going to go out on a limb and say temperature and relative humidity on a nice day in either Vancouver or Alberta could very well be the same and not effect a tune ON THE DAY OF. However, Winter which is a strange concept to people in Vancouver or Victoria or southern BC at that compared to the Winter Alberta gets.
