So got this warning while driving to work this morning. Showed some kind of funky graphic as well. Im sure its set to go off if it senses a certain temp outside which was 37 at the time. Kind of a cool feature I guess lol...

Anyone else receive this message before??

 

Yep....I own 2 Mitsubishis (Ralliart & Outlander Sport) and they both have that warning come on and yes it will always come on at 37 degrees.

 

^^^this. both my previous mits ('08 Lancer GTS) and my RA do this when it reaches 37F outside.

 

Yeah, it was crazy stupid. I was driving to work and was trippin on that. Icy Road warning in San Diego, CA. FML it was 36 degrees in Santee this morning when I left for work. Good thing I didn't ride my motorcycle.

 

lol. this is normal. its an effect of cold weather. water can freeze to ice when ambient temperature gets to 0 C or 32 F.

 

I'm not supposed to get Icy Road Warning in San Diego, CA....

 

When this comes up I always tell my passenger(s) that I have encountered a fatal error in my engine and you will have to roll out the car soon to save your lives.

 

Its actually quite annoying if you live in Canada, where it is below 3 degrees Celsius all the time. Its -20 outside so yes I know the roads might be slippery

 

it gets really annoying when the temp hovers around 37 and 38 and you have your winter set of tires on with out tpms...lets just say every time the temp warning goes off so does the tpms...gets old fast

 

lol - once get this once every couple years when it actually gets that cold here - was bizarre the first time it happened

It is there to warn you driving save. It does the job.
I think the message should annoy every single Lancer driver for 24 hrs. Most of them are driving fast but dangerous and no skill at all especially those basic Lancer driver who think they can be faster than a Ralliart or EVO.
