Congrats on the pick up man! I I guess you never grabbed the X5 after? It's Chris by the way we met a while back in Brampton, did you end up keeping any of the parts? If so pm me with what you are getting rid of. And I hope all went well with the new arrival you were expecting.

Congrats bud, great work. Had you parted-out, before trading, you may have been able to actually lower your payment with a little more money to throw down on the table

Hey chris!

I was trying to trade the RA in for the x3 instead; but the dealership wanted both my nuts for the trade in... Offered me $22k for my car.

Then i went to Subby to look into a STY and they offered me 20k.

After thinking about it, no one would give me a damn fair offer so i went into mitsu to trade it in for a RVR LOL They actually gave me $28k for my trade in.
But I didn't do it because of the shiet acceleration it had. But it does do good on gas.

They had 2 2012 GSR's left over and was giving me a deal i couldn't resist. $12 more a month for the evo then what i was paying for my RA.

I'm just gonna get a used SUV or Van in few months instead.

*03chi-town0Z I actually put down $2k but 1k was with the incentives they had going on. $1000 prepaid mastercard - i just told them to throw that into the evo lol
Don't pay for 3 months and I won a 32" TV from the draw that day too!

I had to trade the car in with most of my mods... otherwise they wouldn't have given me such a high trade in. I had a few things left over and sold it all already.

Congrats! But I have to say something. You wasted all that money putting all the accesories on the ralliart an should have kept it stock. Now you have to start from scratch with the evo. Please throw that money this way. Lol!

haha yea... it's true. Not just accessories, there was power mods too! Don't think i could've put another bolt on in the car. I wasn't content with the RA though

Gotta do it all over again with the X; but more slow this time. Just bought a new house back in Sept so... I got mortgage to pay now

slyy, i know that feeling exactly. i just bought a house as well and i'm stuck trying to figure out which path to take and which would be cost efficient. but the modification process would take a while.

Just curious if your problems with the RA were a result of mods, etc or something else? My '10 RA is a daily driver with zero mods and zero issues so far...just curious. Cheers and congrats.

I had 0 problems with my RA with all my mods. The thing that worried me was the SST. I didn't want to fork out all that money if something went wrong with it. I had the car for 3 years and it was really good to me; except for the starting problems in winter! Relay issues i'm sure.

Anyways, the move to the X was because, it's a car i would drive to the ground/keep forever.

The evo would've been my first choice; but i wasn't financially where I was then, then now. It's also almost $8k more here in Canada btw

Why does it have the small wing? I also thought they got rid of octane blue and only make cosmic blue.

What year/how many km's were on your RA?
Reading everything on here about peoples warranties being void due to modifications, as well as problems with the transmissions in RA's being due to mods, why would they give you more for a trade in just because of modifications??
Love the Evos!! Congrats on the trade
