Help please with a modded used 2011 Ralliart I just bought.

I just picked up this 2011 Ralliart 2 days ago. It seemed to run ok at 1st but now I have 3 CEL's. 1 for the MAF, 2 for the SST. I had a friend use his Evo Scan to look at the PCM and we also saw the car was running extremely rich at idle, he has an Evo so he wasnt sure if that was normal for an RA. We couldnt tell if the car had been touched tune wise but it doesnt appear that it was at all. From what I can see here are the mods on this car as it sits. K&N drop in filter, Synapse Recirc Valve (with 1 nipple open), Defi electronic boost gauge, and a hard upper intercooler pipe. I have no idea if it has a boost pill, not sure how to find out but I would assume if someone added these other parts they would add the boost pill. I plan to find out if its in there, just have to figure out where to look exactly to identify it. From what Ive been reading on these boards the last few days, it seems that this car is extremely sensitive to any mods and needs a tune to properly adjust. Would I be smart to download the free boost pill tune with these mods? If there is no boost pill currently then I plan on getting one. I really hate that I had to buy a modded RA but it is what it is. I just wanna get this thing into a healthy area right now as I need it to be reliable. I wish I could talk to the prior owner but I bought it from a dealer. Any help or tips regarding this situation would be very much appreciated. Heres a pic of the engine bay. Thank you.

Also, here are other pics in this thread of the car.

Its just a small used car dealer, they wont know what to do with it, I wanna keep the car but I just need to know what to do to get it running correctly. I plan to clean the MAF tomorrow, maybe some oil from the K&N got on it and is causing the pcm to freak out?

I'm thinking whoever had this car before me may have had more parts on it and took them off, the parts on there can go fro an easy 700 bux from what I looked up. I woulda thought they would have tuned it the car at least if they were gonna spend all that money.

It's likely that whoever traded it in didn't put the correct/stock tune back on before reverting the car back towards stock before selling/trading it in. You should verify the mods you have and flash to the correct base tune or revert the car to stock and put the stock tune back on. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding someone with a Tactrix cable in the Pitt area. GL.

+1 to above.

SST codes are a definite worry also. I would return to stock parts, flash a stock tune on it and take it to Mitsubishi and see if they can find anything wrong with the SST. That's a 10 thousand dollar transmission that is pretty much a consumable part to Mitsu. Don't wanna take a chance with that.

CBRD is in PA
What codes is it throwing. Not all SST codes are reason for concern. Some are do to over boost condition (i.e. the person/employee who test drove it before you bounced the rev limiter or the equivalent), some are do re-flash "temporary communication disconnect", some are.....well terminal.

I second the CBRD recommendation. I've had great dealings with them in the past. Chad, the owner, is professional and knowledgeable.

I on the other hand have had lousy dealings with CBRD. They have never returned any of my phone calls in over 2 years of trying to work with them.

cool, well I will have to check them out. I dont know why but I just started hearing the recirc valve blow off, wasnt hearing it at all before, not sure if it was possible the synapse could have been jammed or something. car runs ok but the tranny seems really jerky for lack of better terms. never drove a car with this trans before so maybe its normal.

How do you know the car is running rich by pluggin in with evoscan? Definitely take it somewhere with Evo/RA experience and get it properly checked out.

I think it was evo scan, maybe it was the other program he had. All i know is he plugged in a tactrix cable and showed me the afr was really rich at idle. I'm currently looking for someone local with experience to take it to.
