Base vs Premium Pkg Weight Difference

Hi All,

Would anyone happen to know the approximate weight difference between the base and premium package Ralliart?

As well, any figures on the weight of the non-Recaro seat found in the base model?

Thanks.

You would need to know the weight difference for all these items:

2011 RALLIART Touring Package :
• Leather seating surfaces with front seat heaters
• 710-watt (max) Rockford Fosgate®
Punch Premium Sound System Including 10-inch subwoofer

• 6CD/MP3 In-Dash Head Unit
• Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps with manual leveling
• Rain-Sensing Wipers
• Auto On/Off Headlamp Control
Power Glass Sunroof

I have this pkg on my RA, I can look at the weight sticker, not sure if its printed before it leaves Japan as a base model or after all the domestic options are added on US shores?
I would imagine the moonroof is cut and installed in japan but I could be wrong. That and the Subwoofer would be the biggest weight differences.

probably around 50lbs (just a guess) not much when considering a 3500lbs car. Why interested?

Just trying to do a comparison of the two trim levels.

If you're worried about performance, the only one that really makes a difference is sportback or not sportback. Between the sedan models, you have to remember that a lot of those options are just replacing other things on the non-premium edition. The Nav/Sat might be heavier or lighter than the original plane Jane stereo, but probably not by much. Speakers aren't that heavy either. Maybe the sunroof would make a difference? I'm sure it's slight if any. Last but not least, the Recaro seats might be a lot heavier than stock seats. But I have no idea about that. I imagine that these half suede half leathers I have in my car are probably a heavier material than the standard cloth.

I would agree with the above statement that we're probably looking at about 50lbs. Small beans. That's less than the difference between having a passenger or not.

I think the Moon roof is the biggest weight factor. Glass, motor, extra rails.
The weight is also at the highest part of the car.
