My radio was working 2 weeks ago and it was sitting for 2 weeks and I got in my car and all if sudden my radio won't work but all my other lights work I check fuses and all were good. I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer ralliart any suggestions ?

 

pull the radio, check voltage at the harness, 12v constant and 12v switched. If both are present your radio is probably busted.

 

Alright thank you. I'll try that when I get home. I just don't see how something could have went wrong with the radio I mean it worked 2 weeks ago and I started it just yesterday after the car had been sitting for 2 weeks and all of sudden it doesn't turn on. Is there anything else that I forgot to check ?

 

Not really. I assume you have the base non-Fosgate radio.


If the fuses are good (and they are) and nothing was disturbing the connectors or wiring...
It could be a purely random failure. The "sitting two weeks" may not have mattered.


Check the audio section for advice on getting an aftermarket head unit that links with your iPhone, adds back up camera and better reliability at about the same cost as a factory unit installed at the dealership...


Or Just check eBay and/or the FS forum for a replacement. But be SURE the replacement works - especially the CD player works out of both channels. That is a known problem with the mitsu non-Fosgate standard radio... SMH
