Used 2013 ralliart

Hey guys,

I've found a 2013 ralliart with 100km (62xxxmiles)

I've done a compression test it reads perfect, however what I'm questioning is why does it take so damn long from take off to accelarate? Would this be due to a clutch engagement issue? It also takes a full 2 seconds from park to drive/reverse for the car to engage and move... the mechanic I brought it to at the garage I got it checked at told me it is 100% except for the start off is questionable. There is also a rattling noise from the tranny when it is in park (from my research on the forums the rattling/knocking can be from the clutches not being engaged as the sound dissapears while driving)

I am bringing the car to a mitsubishi dealer Monday to get it inspected by a certified mitsu mechanic.

Thank you guys in advance.

I wouldn't sweat the time into gear of it is consistently 2 seconds either way, I'm not near my car but I would guess that what mine takes

The rattle is normal in Parking mode. Is the trans the one that does that.

Is it coming from the trans... I'm not mechanical expert but if I open the hood it sounds like it comes from the back bottom side. When I put it in drive and move forward it goes away after a second. I've checked out a few other blog posting and YouTube vids and it does seem like it is normal! I'm just going to bring it to a mitsu dealer Monday and I'm 99.9% sure I'll be a new mitsu owner. Thanks guys for the responses.

Install the GST Basemap once you get the car and that will help with it accelerating faster from a complete stop. Here's the link:

hey bloke. The rattle is normal. Ive had my Ra since 37k now at 80k and its no different.

when you say 2 seconds to engage do you mean when you apply yhe throttle before the car moves or when you have your foot on the brake and shift from reverse into drive it tkes 2 seconds to feel the thump of the engagement?
