Talk Me Out of Buying Another Ralliart

Had an 09 Ralliart which I sold in 2015 as the family was getting bigger. Was super sad as it was the first non-crappy car that I had and I LOVED it. I think about it all the time and whenever any Lancer (base, Rallart,i Evolution) rolls by I get nostalgic. Fast forward 4 years and a 2010 Ralliart comes up for sale at a local used dealership. It's fully loaded (Recaros, sun/sound package, nav) with 56,000 miles/91,000 km on it. It is a rebuild but I saw pictures and seems like all the vitals were missed (driver side impact). They are asking $7300 USD/$9900 CAD. I can probably get it down a bit but that's not really the concern. I know the SST has a limited shelf life so I'd grab the extra warranty. Currently driving a 2012 Mazda 3 hatch. Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share?

Lol, you came to the wrong place...I've now owned 3 consecutive Lancers (03 ES, 06 Ralliart, and now a 2011 Ralliart) and still have both ralliarts and still have plans to acquire at least one CT9A Evo...

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Mazda 3, your call man...hahaha. but seriously, the price is pretty good but I would be worried about the extent of the damage...

Did you end up buying it? Curious if you found a company that actually sells warranties for rebuilt vehicles. I'm considering a Ralliart for a daily driver and I'm here doing some research and asking questions.

The warranty for the transmission is key. If that is covered then do it.
