I have never driven an automatic with so many drivable options, what would be the best combo for getting the best 60' and lowest 1/4 time?

jazket Mar 12, 2010 11:09 AM

14.3 if you brake-boost without over-heating

good luck with that

Option that works best for me and gives me 8.4s 1/8 times with 2.2 60':

ASC:OFF + Auto + Sport + AWC:SNOW

Launching method: Hold Brake Pedal, Rev past 3000 (not past 3500 or you'll get a Slow Down warning and NO launch for you until you let go of the gas and wait 1-2 seconds for the TC-SST to re-engange) let go of the brake and hold your steering wheel tight! (no need to hold it tight really... these cars are slow as hell haha)

15.0's prob

Mid 14's. I would recommend that if you brake boost not to go much higher than 2500 RPM for 2 seconds. There have been a few TC-SST fatalities and heat is generally the problem. The car will go pretty good if you leave it in Auto/Sport/Tarmac. If you decide to shift yourself remember the TC-SST doesn't shift really fast near redline.

If you flash the ECU and you are going to be in the High 13's.

Just noticed you recently joined, have you broken in the car yet? If not it will be slower and I would say it is unwise to bring it to the strip until broken in, but it is your car.

Mid to High 14's

Shift in Manual mode when you see 6000rpm, the shift will then happen right on redline of 6250rpm.

Have fun!

I ran 14.187 @ 94.89 bone stock full weight in my Sportback Ralliart with my fat ass (240 lb.) driving. Oh, and my car was broken in 1/4 mile at a time :) The above time was ran with less than 1000 miles on the odometer.
