Need some help, but think the answer is obvious

K i have brand new 215/45/18 continentals in the front and some older michelins that are 225/40/18 in the rear. so any way to get to the point I had the light come on that said 4 wheel drive service needed, took it to the dealer and was told that it was because of the tire size difference throwing off the transmission from being in sync. So the solution should be to get the other pair of continentals correct? and this light would go off? it only comes on after a while of driving, guess till the tranny finds out that its being thrown out of sync from quick acceleration..

+1. we see it all the time. different tire sizes really throw off the center diff and create all types of issues. been that way since 4x was invented. should always do 4 tires at the same time and keep properly rotated and inflated to increase longevity of awd components along with actual tires

Even many rear wheel drive cars nowadays as well. Continually sets off the traction control, then limp mode.
