Time to sell the IX brembos and find some C5 calipers. I hope this works.

You have to make brackets for either, so why not keep the brembos.

That was the plan for me and NFSlancerRA but both our places said the IX Brembos won't work.

I looked at it. The bolt pattern of the C5 calipers is MUCH easier to work with.

Yea that makes sense. The brembos it looks like you need to grind some parts of the calipers down.

Either way, options are nice. I look forward to what you end up doing.

I hear ya, like normal high speeds. I'm completely blown away by how horrible the stock brakes are. I'm still running the original pads and rotors at 41k, so that shows I'm pretty easy on them, but I don't think I'll get another 7K out of them, so I need a solution soon. As or right now, I'm leaning towards EBC pads & rotors all the way around, but really hoping for a better solution, a.k.a cost effective BBK, so this sounds promising.

The bolts just don't line up very nicely. There isn't a whole lot of room to play around in there, either. I will release a full part list for the DIY conversion for others. Next is the rears. That is going to be more difficult to size up.

Thanks for doing this. I've kind of given up at this point. I'm glad you have taken the time to help us find a cheap BBK option.

No problem. I wasn't about to pay that much money for a BBK, anyways. Some of these companies are NUTS.

I have an appointment to have this done on Monday. I sent them a picture of those brackets, and they said that something like that already exists. This should be good!

I can also have more brackets made. Would anyone be interested in buying a set? I can't tell you a price yet, but it won't be more than $200.
