I lowered my last car, and I rented a spring compressor from Advance Auto. They charged me $60.00 upfront and then refunded the cash upon returning the compressor.

When I drop mine in the spring, I'm going to get camber bolts put in and set my camber at 1 to 1.5 degrees more negative than spec when I have it aligned. I want to make sure I don't go too far out and cause abnormal tire wear tho. Give the car a bit of an improvement in handling, plus I like the look. Functional stance

I didnt use a spring compressor at all to install miine. I know yall are thinking im crazy, but the front springs were not under much tension, the back ones on the other hand were a little bit, but again nothing to worry about. If you do your own springs make sure you have a buddy to help you do it all.

I didn't use a compressor either, i had an impact gun, and and a cardboard box with a hole cut out for the bolt lol. It contained all that energy pretty well. There wasn't much tension as i thought there was gonna be.

spring compressor is not needed just a second pair of hands to assist with placing the nut, while the other compresses the spring by hand.
