RRM has a video on YouTube that explains/shows how to install their lowering springs on an 08+ Lancer. The video for the rear springs can viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrYKdyHySJE

Your missing a lot of info on what your looking for in a spring. Right now your going to get a bunch of people saying "X spring is the best" because that's what they are running.

i wonder how difficult is it to do the front as well ... if a spring compressor is not required (like what the video is claiming) I might give it a shot and do them myself with a friend.. (to save 180$ labor cost)

i did them without a spring compressor, the fronts were cake, the back were scary. The fronts are massive big *** springs. The rears are lil springs that look like they will bounce back and wanna kill u. But a friend and i put them on, and everything went just fine. I've never done it before in my life, but it was very simple. Not to scare anyone, it was just a bit scary until we took out our first spring of both the front and back, then once we realized that the springs were not as compressed as people make them out to be we were fine. Id still not point them at ur face while doing it! but if i can do it, then anyone can do it

I have always used spring compressors when lowering vehicles. You can essentially rent them for "free" from Advance Auto (or similar retailer) meanwhile remaining safe during the install.
