have a 2010 RG Ralliart that i use as DD. No tracking other than occasional fun night at dragstrip. lowered on eibach pro kit. is it worth the money for ride quality alone to buy coilovers? is it a big diffrence? wouldnt mind lowering it a little more then the eibachs do in summer and raising it up some for winter, but mainly looking for ride quality. 29000 miles on the eibachs and stock struts , so maybe thats the reason for the bad ride quality. if im gonna spend the money for new struts i was thinking of going coilover route. let me know your opinions please. thanks

Option 1 would be Damper replacements from KYB.... currently the only Tier 1 company offering aftermarket shocks. Then purchasing a more aggressive drop springs.
Option 2 multiple adjustment coilovers would be optimal. I typically recommend Monotube coilovers over twin tube unless you know for a fact that you will never track the car. Drag strip is ok. Twin tube can last a long time so long as they are not subjected to abuse. Monotube is pretty good but there is still a quality range. Also there are some kits that can go lower than others. If Maximum drop is what you are looking for then you should do some research to see which kit provides the most drop.
My recommendation is HSD coilovers for an Inverted Monotube coilovers for a compliant ride and track worth performance adjust-ability. For a simple drive (daily driver) consider the Tein Basics. They offer a nice range of ride height and its a pretty reliable twin tube. My research into the Tein Basic yields very low failure rates during the first year and a good life after the first year.

KYB made an aftermarket variant that is a little firmer but still of the same design as the OE. Its valved better and is more tolerant of aggressive drops which makes it a good way to go and will give you 2 good years before it degrades. Vs. 1 years of a factory OEM version which can not handle aggressive or even mild drops without blowing, leaking or degrading.
The coilover option if you buy a good quality one may be a better investment in the long run for performance gains, height control and longer life.

I have not found a source in the US that will sale these. I'm guessing you have to order them overseas. Also I did not see the Ralliart on their application list?

i'm interested in how these feel. From the shock dyno plots, I would imagine them to seem a bit softer but way more controlled (than BC Racing BR coilovers) on the rebound side. But then IIRC the FA 510 series standard spring rates on them are 8k/7k for the RA (similar to what you're running on your BC BR's isn't it?).
FA's are custom built, so there are no "standard" (but IIRC they say recommended or something in their chart). For instance I've ordered them with Swift Spring upgrades (yes again, that's how awesome Swift springs are, even in coilovers) @ 9k F / 10k R, BUT with Street valving. The idea is firmer springs to better absorb heavytrack abuse, but moderate valving so I don't destroy my spine DD. And the UDDP valving look like they are worth the price increase over standard 500 series.
What I really liked about the shick dyno is the driver input part, they appear to be very controlled. This should really help stabilize weight transfer in hard cornering, an area my fat *** needs a bit more help.
