curb check

Hello,
I hit a curb this morning and scratched one of my rims up. I called the dealer and they said they don't do that types of repairs. Any advice to fix it, thought about trying to fix it myself.

That statement makes no sense whatsoever.

Check for local wheel repair shops...

Check ebay and craiglist for a single wheel...

or buy those new rims YOU KNOW YOU WANT!

File insurance claim. Receive check. Buy new wheels.

I guess I should of posted a pic of damage, besides getting new rims and paying someone over a hundred bucks to fix(one quote I got just from playing email tag, maybe send him a pic as well to get a better estimate).

This is just very minor curb rash. I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it at this stage. It would be even crazier to try to get a new wheel this one isn't bent, nothing has broken off... the damage is just limited to a small section at the edge of the rim. Nobody but you will even see this.

True, it wasn't as bad as I first saw it, so I'm not in a hurry to fix it yet, but I will eventually. Ya, I will be the only one to really notice it and because it just happened it bothers me right now(besides being a new car it's kind of one of those SOB moments).

This is why my wife isn't allowed in the drivers seat.

That is not bad at all. Lots of good DIYs out there. All you need is a bit of bondo putty and paint. Prep is everything.

Doesn't look too deep. Sand it and find some paint that matches

Yep, that isn't deep at all. You can find videos on YouTube that show you how to fix that easily. You will need to sand it, fill it, sand and paint it. It's a pretty simple process for that light of damage. A wheel repair shop will charge you from $60 to $150 to fix that so save the money by doing it yourself.
