Unhappy Front control Arm Bushing

It became obvious today that my bushing were destroyed when i hit a huge pothole. They were beat up but they are toast now. For a 2011 RA i think they lasted very long.

Anyway should I replace all of the bushings or just the broken one? I also seen a few people say to just put a new arm in both sides... what about some upgraded bushings? For the videos I seen this like really hard

you only need the harborfreight shop press and the proper sized 'socket'. its good investment if you work on your cars' bushings and bearings. sometimes you can use a torch, cold chisels for bushings and cut off discs for bearings
if the control arms is cheap enough then a part swap is better, unless you want upgraded bushings. Upgraded bushings are not really necessary for daily driven cars

Haven't had to with my evo, but all my hondas bushings, minus RTA bushing, I have used the AutoZone C-Clamp rental to extract and install bushings. I did have the HF press a long time ago, but currently don't have space, It was better/easier to perform repairs/upgrades.

something like this:

that's hard to imagine, if the control arm is off the car for bushing (not ball joint) replacement

I don't have the top of the line impact, but once I found a creative way to secure the arms, the 3' breaker would pop them right out.

ok. i dont buy premium tools. for the evo the bushings are quiet tough to start pushing out (no idea about other models). its like crushed aluminum. one could damage the control arm if it doesnt go out straight. the "wrenching" can tilt it a bit. other control arms i worked on are even worse. the sleeve gets left behind if you dont have the *perfect* adaptor, so you'll need a cold chisel

That makes sense. I have only had to do this with Honda's as of now, and I actually acquired adaptors specifically made to press out those bushings to work with the c-clamp. The honda arms also are designed with flat edge around the bushings specifically to press them out, a lot of variables here!
