Who has done their own re-flash?
Just wanna know if it was as easy and basic as it sounds.
I sent an email to Tacrix to find out what cable(s) I would need and they said I would need:
- Tactrix OpenPort 2.0
- Tactrix Mitsubishi Reflash Connector
Are those the cables a person needs?

select EVO 10, you'll need the cable with the openport 2.0 connection (169$) that's it. Yes it's easy to flash, if you can use programs on a computer you can do it. You just open the program (ECUflash) it'll check for drivers or something the first time you run it, let it download what it wants. Then choose to read ECU (it'll list a bunch of different cars, choose the latest mitsu one, I think it says something like -2006+ mitsubishi CAN. after you've read the ECU, chose to save it as a file, this is your factory flash settings (if you ever want to go back to it just load that file). Next you'd choose flashECU (or there's a test ecuflash, to test a file to make sure it would go ok I guess) select the new flash file (they are 1 meg files, so very small) It'll take a minute or 2 to flash, after flashing you'll get a CEL, just clear it under one of the drop down menus, it'll say something like clear DTU's. Then you are done.

Im also wondering will this cause the boost to over spike? i believe ams and a few other people have said that due to the sst tranny you need a boost pill to prevent the car from boosting too much. will this basic ecuflash with the cable cause the car to increase in boost or does it keep the factory boost and just remap the air/fuel? if anyone has any info on this type of flash please speak up lol thanks
i have sent you a pm, but i will ask these two questions here, because i am sure someone else has one as well..
