Hi all,

I am planning to flash the ECU via email once i get the Ralliart. I was wondering if the Tactrix cable i buy and the software can be use to flash a basic lancer.... and if there is basic lancer version of flash available. Thanks.

 

I dont think there is a flash for the non-turbo lancer. The Tactrix cable you have should be fine and the software for a flash should be good. As far as I know though, I dont believe there is a flash for what you were looking to do unless you have the 09 Ralliart.

Then again I could be wrong. I would check other parts of the forum to be sure.

 

Technically, you should be able to flash a regular lancer with the tactrix cable, that is, as long as you have a flash. I don't think there is anyone currently mapping the tables for non-turbo lancers, so what you would flash it with, I don't know.

 

You would be better off posting this question in the GTS forums.

 

I believe WORKS has a flash for the regular lancers.

 

I tried reading the ecu of a GTS and it communicates but does not pull the right info. Someone needs to create the right tables and address info. Not my expertise.

I know Jestr Tuning has tuned a few lancers. As far as i know a base lancer normally gets around 15HP to the wheels more with a good tune.

 

So, I'm planning to Go Turbo with my lancer, I have the Ralliart Turbo + Manifold and I want to know if the tactrix will help me with the tune, Maybe I will use a FMU to control the Fuel and the AEM Uego to monitor my A/F.

Should I Use the taxtrics to control Injectors ? Can I use it for that ?

 

Bryan is there a public rom for these cars?

There is a kid going to a group tune at Magnus, and he has a Lancer with the RalliArt turbo kit. Just wondering if he is wasting his time or is it possible to tune his junk?

All you need is definitions for the various tables. It works the same as turbo car, the read and write that is. Actually tuning follows different parameters. I had a GREAT tuner for my N/A car (it was a Subie, but they tune it all). Basically they improved throttle response, fueling and timing, making it a torque heavy tune; actually a LOT of fun to drive around town cuz the car pulled with the slightest touch on the throttle.
Anyways, for anyone interested they are called Phatt Botti Tuning, based off the East Coast. Its all done through Tactrix cables, and emailing back and forth (about 3-4 times). About $150 for a full tune, you tell them what your mods and they ahve base maps for it all, then tweak from the logs you send them. I had an exhaust, CAI, lightened crank pulley, and some other odds and ends.

Exact same situation. A lancer ES owner wants to buy all my turbo parts when I do my X swap. I think on the small RA turbo at low boost, he should be fine - just not sure if there's any public definitions to tune it - all I've seen are mail-in flashes

 

I'm looking specifically for the tactrix definitions for the N/A lancer.
Can anyone help?

I think the basic definitions are included with the download files. Dont you just change what folder and file you are querying???

I'm assuming by "Tactrix definitions" you mean ECUFlash definitions, BTW...
