IC Ventalation

I was wondering if anyone with an upgraded IC has had success increasing air flow to it. Changing to the evo x crash bar with the vents would be the first thing, but I was wondering about venting the front bumper crossbar without fitting the evo bumper.

With an upgraded fmic there is no need for the vents in the bumper. It may change air flow but not by much. I have an ets 3.5" fmic on my ralliart and have not had any problems with over heating.

I was not worried about the IC blocking the radiator causing overheating. I wanted to increase air flow to the IC since the entire upper half is blocked by the crash bar. I would think anything to help cool the air from the turbo would be good.

Any additional air flow is great but I don't know if it will help that much imo but I could be wrong.

I wondered the same thing when I was at the dealer last time. The two evo's have their extra center vents in the bumper and a air diverter on either side. Any radiator stands to gain from free air flow, whether it's air of fluid inside. I am eventually gonna try somethin like the side pieces as long as they don't block air flow to something else. BTW does anybody know how different the evo bumper support is? Pics?

I've seen a couple guys remove the inner portion of the bumper cover to allow more air flow to the intercooler and radiator.

Thanks,

Michael
