I thought the point was that you could just buy this turbo instead of the stock EvoX turbo and then buy all of the other parts for the X turbo swap for the same money. The cost of the two turbos are almost exactly the same.

 

I would look more to a Blouch Dom 2 or FPred. They both have the potential to make more power than the 3071 as well, with better spool.

The Garrett kit has an issue with flappers breaking and in extreme use, shaft and turbine failure. There is a certain Evo 10 track car that has been through a handful already.

So you have to provide a Evo X turbo and you're buying a turbine/compressor upgrade? I don't want to provide a core, I would just put the X turbo on in that case.

 

If it's anything like the previous Evo 8/9 BBK, it is either core upgrade or outright purchase.
