I just got my FMIC from UR.
OMG... This thing is huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to try to install it tomorrow but I don't know if I could do this by myself...
Hopefully everything will go as planned... Wait... I don't have a plan yet lol

I wonder if Menendez is reading this...
If you are, did you remove the Reinforcement Beam to install the FMIC?

Thats awesome! New upper and lowers as well I am assuming?

Lots of info in the How to Section so you should not have any install issues.

The hardest part I hear is the physical removal of the front bumper assembly for your first time.

Good luck and keep us updated.

And I hope that the extreme cold that you poor Florididians(SP) have to endure will not hamper your installation efforts

Cheers

I removed the front reinforcement beam to install, the bumper was easy to take off, the hardest part for me when I was doing it myself was to hold that flippin heavy *** intercooler with one hand and trying to thread the bolt in, also trying to keep that stupid spacer in place! and dont forget to double check the hose clamps left one loose, and there was no power, sounded like a airplane taking off though haha

Nope, no uicp or licp. I plan to do uicp and no licp since it was such a bit*h to install the FMIC.. I don't know if I could take another install like that lol

Taking off the bumper the hardest part??!! That was the easiest part...
It was pretty frustrating and time consuming. It took exactly 3 hours and 25 minutes to do everything and clean up. And I was being rushed too cuz I had to go to work

And yes the weather was perfect today. Mid 50's.

Anyways I'm glad I got that done.

Yeah I couldn't do anything without removing the front reinforcement beam so I took it off. Friggin intercooler is heavy!!! I just hooked up the silicon pipes first then threaded the bolts. Even then it was a pita The black steel beam was a pain to take off too.
Then putting the reinforcement beam back alone took 40 minutes...
Friggin holes wouldn't line up cuz of the foam piece that UR shipped was so thick..

I checked the hoses before I put on the bumper.... I think lol

The only problem I have right now is the fog light connector...
I finished up everything and tried to hook the fog light connector back....
WTF?? I couldn't find the connector thats supposed to hook to the bumper...
I didn't have time to take off the bumper and look for it so I just said forget it lol
I needed to go to work anyways lol

I guess overall install was PITA cuz I'm a noob and it's my first time modding a car. Hopefully my next mod doesn't take 3+ hours to do...

I did the UR FMIC for my X; it's definitely a different install then the others, 4.5" requires removing bumper, etc. Looking at your mods, I bet your RA is a sleeper.

Yeah I don't want to look/sound like a wannabe racer. I'm through with that lol
I just want a DD that I can have a quiet ride with my gf that has a lil more kick to it

Speaking of sound.. The turbo spool is much louder now. I don't know if it's the FMIC or just my mind playing tricks on me.

Also I didn't know the IC would be so close up to the um.... what is that behind the IC?...
Anyways it's barely not touching

with the stock pipes i'd imagine it shouldn't change the sound much if any.
i'd double check your clamps

Before the install and before I knew that I had to take off the reinforcement beam.

2 Screws(1 each on 2 sides) that were PITA to take off and put back!!!!
Just enough room for a small wrench to fit
