If this is the first time it happened, its probably not worth going to the dealer. The SST has a lot of quirks, and will do random stuff every now and again. I wouldn't go to the dealership until it becomes a regular event, or atleast until it occurs repeatedly in a short period of time.

it does that when i put to reverse, and the "R" start flashing ... when it stops, i know i can go...

i just get into a habit to hold brake, change to D (or R) and wait abit ... then go...

also, i wouldnt bother going to dealership if u can't reproduce the problem, they will just send u home telling u to come back until something breaks

How can you accept this from a brand new car?

The pains of being an early adoptor of new tech.

Seriously, it's not a big deal, I haven't had any problems yet, and if I do it's still under warranty, so I'm not too worried.

The real problem comes with modding the car, that's where the real transmission issues come into play.

Weak clutch packs, over heating under extreme driving, and Transmission ECU programming.

There are upgrade options available for the transmission and coolers to keep it running smoothly. Now we just need someone to figure out the ECU programming on the transmission to keep the clutches from opening up under too much torque.

As a daily drives it's fine, but it's no Evo.

Because I don't sweat the small stuff. If the issue happened all the time, and inconvenienced me for more than a few seconds at a time, I might raise a stink. But going to the dealer takes time, and I would prefer spending that time doing other things.
