Can the cable still be purchased? I see everyone wanting to borrow one, and I would like to just buy my own. I am asking since so many people are looking to borrow.

Did you get a hold of one yet? I'm about 30-45 minutes from Orlando. You can't take my cable home with you, but you're welcome to come over and use it.
