I know that the clutch is a little weak and a point of failure; but what other failures have occurred with the RA/MR transmissions?

 

I've seen posts related to solenoids, leaky filter housings, and temp sensors.

 

There is a dealer notice regarding Cracked filter housings. this should be inspected and if found changed on service. Make sure your dealer checks it (this is a production fault either related to the casting or overtorue during assembly)

Most posts I have seen are around Clutch Failures however metallic debri from clutch plates could cause premature wear on gear teeth as has been experienced by a number of tuning houses which could ultimatley lead to stripping of teeth.
