Changing Oils

Ok I have a couple questions... We have many different oils to change.

Engine Oil
SST Oil
Transfer Oil
Rear Axle Oil (please tell me if I'm missing any)

I know how to change the engine and SST oil.

My main concern is the others so could someone show me where the rest are located to change? I'm far away from any dealers and I know it can't be too hard so I would like to do it by myself.

Thank you for any feedback! If this is in the wrong section move where it is best suited.

As for the manual transaxle oil, we don't have a manual transmission so you don't have to worry about it.

So I have them all listed? And I notice on that service manual there is two different listings for the rear axle to change its oil, or is one for manual and one for the sst?

The link is to the Evox service manual. The evo has a yaw control device inside the rear diff, which requires it's own fluid. You should just concentrate on the main diff section.

people in other threads talked about changing the front and center diff oils too. In the 2009 Lancer Raliart Maintenance schedule it doesn't say to replace the active center diff fluid ever but to check it. And are Transfer oil and Front Diff oil the same thing? THanks

The front diff is a part of the transmission, so there is no separate fluid for it. The active center diff fluid is only used to activate the clutches and is not subjected to any real wear. The transfer oil is for the transfer case, and the rear diff fluid is for, obviously, the rear diff.

Go to your local parts store and look for any synthetic 75w-90 gear oil. Most people here use either Royal Purple or Mobil 1

Mobil-1 usually runs about $10-$12 per quart and Royal Purple runs about $20 per quart. I don't know how much Diaqueen is because it will vary dealer to dealer, and I have never priced it out. My guess is that it will cost signifacantly more than either option since you are buying from the dealer.
