Looking to buy a testpipe, Q's!

Hey guys,

Recently installed my DC Sports system and i'm looking to add a testpipe.

Looking at a few options but i'm not too sure what I should be buying. First off, the nearest tuner is a solid 7 or 8 hr drive for me down into the usa. So I do plan running the Cobb AP by next spring at the latest.

If I was to run the Megan Testpipe, would I have a retardedly loud exhaust system (given there is no res or cat)? Would I throw a cel? and can I run Cobb's Stage II tune, requires 1 cat so i'm guessing no?

Second option is to pay a little bit more money and buy an UR testpipe. But than there's mini muffler / resonator / hfc.

Basically I want a testpipe that isn't too loud, is compatable with Cobb's Stage II and preferably does not throw any codes.

Please help a new owner out!

I think you should get the UR hfc (metal)
I'm gonna get that.

Also, me and another Evo x are driving up to buschur to get tune sept 16.

If you want, come with us

UR seems to be the most viable option.

A tune is probably not going to happen for me for quite sometime, so i'll be running the AP.

I'd need to drive down to Minneapolis.

I'm using the UR resonated test pipe and have had no CELs related to it. Also, not very loud with stock catback setup.

I have the DC sport catback and the ultimate racing test pipe. The car is a bit loud, but not obnoxious. Also, boost makes the exhaust just roar It sounds simply amazing. The test tipe came with an extended O2 sensor bung. As a result i have not thrown any codes. As for the tune i am not sure as i am running the GST map. Where in canada are you from? If its anywhere near edmonton i could let you hear it.

I'm in Winnipeg (Go Oilers).

What UR Testpipe did you go with? hfc? resonator? straight?

Any issues running with the GST basemap?!

Hey Zebra I am in Edmonton and would like to hear your car. As videos on youtube never ever do any sounds justice. After a couple small mods I wanted to just to HFC or Test Pipe and stock exhaust. That's when I can afford the tuning that goes with it heh. Maybe we can hook a time and place. I am not in town this weekend. But I will be there next weekend. I think I am loading my GST 93 Map then also. Gonna order the boost pill and filter here right away.

I think i'm going to give the Tsudo Evo X Test Pipe a shot.

It's got a resonator and cel fix and is $129 w/ free shipping at erz performance.

Do you have a link for this test pipe? It's really not expensive!
