New Unknown DTC Code P34A0

Hello,

this morning I had the orange light in the Dashboard I think it is the check engine light of my 2010 Mitsubishi lancer ralliart 100% fullstock with 54 000 km...

I used EVOSCAN 2.9 with my tactrix openport 2.0 cable to find the code and it displays :

Updated: 12:10:36
Initializing CAN...
Checking for EVOX EFI Diagnostic Codes...
Correct Header byte response returned.

1 Current Diagnostic Trouble Codes Found...
----------------------------------------------
P34A0

I tried to clear all dtc but it stays...

I tried to find in all the documentation and internet and there is nothing for this code...

do you think it is the wrond code or do you have an idea how to diagnose where does it come from ? Should I go to the dealer ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,
Clément

I just got the same code on my car? I have no clue either to the cause or what the code even means, but on my evoscan the code came up as C31B8.

Sorry I can't be of any help but I do share your concern.

Use ECUFlash instead to clear your DTC

Think there are some gremlins in EvoScan 2.9

Ok so I've cleared this DTC twice now, from evoscan and ecuflash.. I can only see the actual DTC from evoscan, cant figure out how to see the codes in ecuflash... Just the option to clear them.

Does anyone have any idea what this DTC means.. This same issue as for the "correct header byte response returned" but sometimes gives me a different code.. P34E0, C31B8

Ha! That brings back memories! I had a wire fitted to my old FTO's OBD port that could ground a certain pin - for flashing check-engine-light DTCs at me in morse code.

Glad to see that system is still there somewhere, locked away in our ROMs... just a bit more civilised.

I keep getting the same thing too. Not all the time, its intermittent. But sometimes it comes up as P34B0 , P34A0 depending on the ecu selection.

I have yet to make it to a dealership and have it hooked up. I hate having someone troubleshoot my stuff..

Let us know if you find something.

Everyone needs to STOP using Evoscan v2.9 for DTC's

It's broken. DO NOT USE IT.

Yup I agree. So at the dealership, they said my car is throwing a P0139. But my rom has the disable for that code?. Or at least I thought it does.

I'm having a hard time understanding how to read codes with the cruise light. How do you get 10 digits from two long flashes? And you just count the number of time it flashes?
