93 oct

So I live in Illinois and went up to Minnesota for two days to visit a college for an open house. Took my moms camry (mpg beast) and was filling up at a gas station and saw that their premium was 92 and not 93 like it is here. So I started thinking about when I move and what I should do . Should I get tuned at a lower octane and run 93 here and 92 there?

Or is it safe to get tuned on 87? I know our cars take premium but didnt know if it was good for the car

I would just get tuned at 92 so you don't have to keep switching tunes. Putting 93 for a 92 tune won't do damage

or just use the GST 91 Oct tune, that way you dont have to go out and get a custom tune for 92 oct. Just like the above poster said, 93 oct on a 91 tune wont hurt your engine, just wont use the full power from the 92 or 93 gas.

I have no idea on the 87 front though.

Where in Minnesota? Most the BP stations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area carry 93-octane. This is all the vast majority of DSM/Evo guys in the area run. Be sure to check out www.MitsuStyle.com, that's the local turbo Mitsu forum.
