Help with tuning? New Owner.

Hello, my name is Adam. If you haven't read, please read my welcoming message to the boards!

So I recently (monday) bought a 2011 Wicked White Ralliart! I'm 23 and just getting in to tuning. I understand what I need to begin, but as of right now I am slightly broke, and also a little nervous!

I've read walk-through's for tuning and am planning on installing an AMS boost Pill with the GST Basemap. I am unable to afford the tactrix cable at this time.. I am currently saving to move closer to my work with my girlfriend so money is tight.

So I thought I'd try to kill two birds with one stone. Is there anyone in the bay area, near Moffett Field/Mountain View, who may be able to guide me while trying to install the basemap on my car? I'd just like to visually see how it is done first before I go off and accidentally wreck my new baby!

Any help would be appreciated, my number is 209-489-0040 also. Thanks!

I've asked, but I kind of have the feeling that since I am a newbie people may want me to gain their trust. I'd rather have them there anyway. I posted on the "Borrowing Tactrix Cables" thread but to no avail. Although it has only been one day.

209! I still have my 209 cellphone number, use to live in Salida, CA then moved to the bay area like your self.. now in Seattle. I know there are quite a few RA's in the bay. If you can't find anyone in the region section of this forum you can try the calilancers or g9lancers forum as it seems to have more people from that area listing meets.

Next month that's not bad. I only get a chance to drive my car once or twice a week anyway. Can you pm me before you come to jersey? Thanks

Honestly, if cash is too tight for a Tactrix, don't touch a thing on the RA. Leave it stock, drive it nicely, maintain it well and you'll have less risk of financial pain.

Even maintaining it well is expensive compared to most vehicles.

Having an expensive item fail... doesn't bear thinking about. Leave it stock, maintain a good dealer relationship, rely on the warranty.

My 2c worth.

Rich

PS. I bash and hack the crap out of my RA's ECU... but I can afford to use cash as a viable problem-solving tool!
