bought my 11 RA back in june used and saw that it had an AEM short ram air intake already installed and when i got to looking inside the vacuum line I noticed that there was a boost pill inside. was wondering if the RA came with one from the factory but wasn't sure because it seems everybody is picking one up from AMS. If it does come with one from the factory, how do I know if it's a stock one or an aftermarket one? really puzzled by the whole thing, any insight would be greatly appreciated

 

they come with one from factory. Its alot more restrictive then a ams pill

 

the inside of the stock pill has a conical shape, where as the ams pill is straight through.

 

You've got it backward, the stock pill is actually less restrictive, the hole in the upgraded pill is smaller.

Aftermarket the holes are same size at both ends and stock one end has a bigger hole
