Help Needed! Car pulsing/reving

Just need a little feedback. Since my last service I have noticed my car reving/pulsing when the car is at a constant speed. I.e. I'm in 6th at 60kph, car is at 2000rpm but constantly pulsing from 2000 to 2200 despite no change to the accelerator pedal.

Have tried other tunes that i have but that doesn't fix the problem.

Any one have any ideas?????

are you trying to speed up or straight constant speed, because if your trying to speed up then it could be the clutch?

so it doesn't occur at all when speeding up in any case? You don't see the revs jump around when accelerating?

How many miles/kms? Recent trans flush? If not, change your transmission fluid and filter. Your fluid could be dirty and your filter is probably clogged, and that's what is causing your RPMs to pulse at speed. Mike, 08Lancer89, had the same thing happen (and I believe it go progressively worse) and a trans flush fixed his problem.

Also, I didn't know there were 08 RAs. Wasn't 2009 the first model year for the RA? I bought my 2009 in October/November 2008 and it was one of the first ones stateside. Maybe different for AUS?

90,000km. They changed the fluid in the trans but not the filter as they didn't have it in stock. I'm still waiting for them to get it

Got mine in November 08, was the first in the state when i got it.

No it doesn't feel as quick lately. More sluggish under normal acceleration

Change that filter. That should fix your problem. Even for being used for only 20k miles (32186.88 kms), my SST filter was disgusting. I suggest you change your filter every time you change the fluid. It collects quite a bit of sediment and soot from the clutches, and is very easily clogged.

I have had the same problems with my -10 ralliart here in sweden.

I also had flasching "R" sometimes when engaging the rear gear. And jerky transmission when i slowed down into a roundabout or a crossing.

It had only 22000km on it when it happend. Mitsubishi changed the clutch packs a day before my waranty was out.

With the new clutch it is better but still not crisp.
Mine RA had the fluid and filter changed two times.
