Did you have to do any modifications other than take off the oem and apply the dual port bov?

Nothing but adjust the spring, someone says a tune will be better but i didn't have a tune right after BOV installed and nothing went wrong.

Already running cobb stage 1 so shouldn't need tune. I watched the install video on YouTube. Pretty damn simple

Man, this thread is super technical I can't even comprehend the information that's being thrown around. You should call up Harry, he will hook you up just in time for Rice wars.

If you want a BOV, rather than a BPV, and you plan on using an off the shelf tune go for the COBB. If I'm not mistaken it's fully adjustable, but I haven't looked into it too much. It'll probably be the least problematic option if you just want something you can toss on and not tune for.

With the SST you want recirc, not vent. BOVs serve no purpose other than to go "PSSSSH" and make the guy in the other lane driving a rusty civic with a Folgers can for a muffler stare at you with envy. The car was designed for recirc and can run funny with a BOV. Some people run the Turbosmart at 50/50 and don't notice any problems, but whether or not they're logging to verify is anyone's guess.

Hopefully someone with more experience running a BOV on a Ralliart can chime in with some data supported by actual logs. I wanted to replace the plastic stock BPV once, but my end conclusion was don't do it unless you're prepared to get a custom tune, monitor your logs, or just don't care what's going on under the hood.

Just swap in the EVO X (or IX) BOV to ensure it holds boost better than the stock plastic housing for a modified engine.

Nothing fancier, nothing else is needed.
really.

I have personally witnessed multiple SST cars on the dyno LOSE POWER AND CONSISTENCY with those BS noisemaker valves installed (the turbosmart being one of them). Then, when fitted with a metal oem valve, they saw "miraculous" improvement in all aspects of power AND driveability.

Like Veronica suggested, stick a metal IX or X valve on and call it a day. If you wanna get fancy, go ahead and crush the valve before install.

I didn't mean his suggestion about using the Evo BPV, rather I was referring to his idea of "crushing" it first...
