Question about my stock ECU flash

Ok, so I have a 2011 ralliart. I did GST map flash and saved my stock ecu flash to a memory stick. Short story..... I lost it. I scheduled a tune a couple of months ago for april and I was wondering if the tuner needs it or can he create a new one for me? sorry this is my first pro tune and i have no clue.....

No. The tuner can only see the latest tune (and save it).

If you need the original tune - someone here can send it to you.

'Why do you need it'?

You do not need it for your tuner but it was not something you want to loose. Hopefully you find it.

thanks alot guys, I was just curious as this will be my first tune. My tuner asked if I have a tune on it, I told him I have a gst flash, he then asked me if I still have the stock flash. Maybe he wanted to start from scrap?

Your tuner should charge you less money if you let him start from the GST Basemap rather than from scratch, because with the GST basemap on there 80% of the work has already been done for him.....

Usually best to use the latest (higher number) version.

Make sure he actually has a customer base and can prove that he has worked on the SST. Several people on the forum had their clutches killed because of a bad tune . He can be the best tuner in the world but that makes no difference whatsoever if he is not able to work on the SST. Most people can tune a car. Very few companies can actaully tune the sst. He absolutely should be charging you less since the razors flash is already in there .
