CP-e vs. AMS Resonator
CP-e vs. AMS Resonator
Hi All, This spring I will be adding a CP-e CBE, AMS TP, and CP-e DP to my '11 SB. Both the DP and CBE can be ordered with resonator for an extra $100. Any recommendations on one resonator vs. the other?
Downpipes cannot have resonators, did you mean the test pipe?
In any case, I wouldn't recommend getting the AMS test pipe (unless you got a good used deal), it's really overpriced. Pretty much all other manufacturers will sell you the same quality test pipes for less money.
I can definitely vouch for the CP-E downpipe though. It's great and the flex section really helps in reducing cabin drone, as well as reduces stress to the exhaust.
Also, make sure you get a wideband bung on the testpipe or downpipe, it's very useful for tuning the car afterwards.

It sounded good as a cat-back, but now it sounds amazing when I upgraded it to a full turbo-back. A lot of Ralliart exhausts sound rough and brutal, this one is a bit more refined in my opinion. It's fairly quiet for cruising, but really wakes up when you step on it. I get just a little bit of drone (mostly when engine is cold) without a resonator.
