Borla catback, what dp/hfc if any?

I bought a Borla catback exhaust for my 2011 Ralliart a few years ago and loved the sound from it and it lead me to the purchase of a Borla downpipe, after installation the car was ridiculously loud to where you could hear me for over two miles. This caused my neighbors to almost call the cops on me for the noise.

I recently bought a Depo HFC hoping that I'd be able to use that instead of the stock one (which the HFC didn't fit because it was .25 inches bigger than my exhaust). I looked up the Borla exhaust with a Depo HFC and learned that it was ridiculously loud as well, I also read that Borla is one of the loudest exhausts.

So my question is what are my options? I'd really like to use my Depo HFC and not have the cops called on me, I've been looking into getting a single outlet exhaust (AMS most likely) but if anyone has ideas on what to do it'd be appreciated. The Borla exhaust has an awesome sound but it's preventing me from using any other pipe besides the stock.

Thanks!

If youre worried more about noise at this point youd be better off swapping either the dp or the cat back with something different.

Yeah I'm thinking about doing that, probably an AMS single outlet exhaust, I fancy that look.

I have to agree the ams single exit does look nice.
I have the borla catback as well stock dp and cat and it is loud but i don't really mind neither do my neighbors because luckily where i live most of my neighbors are car enthusiasts as well so noise wise i have a little more leeway

Must be nice, once I threw on the Borla DP my neighbor came screeching into my driveway complaining that it's too loud and that his two-stroke Corvette wasn't even that loud, then he told me to get a real exhaust and he left.. When I had that pipe on it made my brothers Supra sound like a Prius

I mean besides the fact of it being extremely loud when not using a stock DP I love the sound it produces, it's a head turner for sure.

Oh yeah I get them and it's a great feeling! With the borla dp the backfires were constant and it was kinda awesome actually. You felt them whenever they went off and it was definitely fire. Kinda felt bad for the people behind me

Haha I just thought it was funny. i didnt expect it with a catback and then stock dp and cat. one thing i do love about it is and i dont know if it is the same with other exhaust systems but i just the love the gurgling you get with the borla!

If keeping the stock exhaust on a 09 RA, what is the best option to make more power, HFC & Downpipe? Or Just a HFC? I've heard our turbo can't outflow the stock exhaust.
Is there any benefit for changing the DP?

I don't want to change the exhaust, I have a highway commute, I don't need it to be any louder.

Technically the stock DP is not really the issue... It's the cat. But what i see a lot of people do is a DP and HFC then stock cat-back. For performance and more of a stock sound. (You will need an adapter for the 3" HFC to stock 2.5" cat-back tho...)

I have the one in the following link and it's direct bolt-on and made in the U.S.A. and it's been awesome! You should probably get a tune with any HFC though.
