Hey Guys,

New user so just trying to get a few posts under my belt so I can get into the marketplace and hunt down some parts.

Feel free to link me if this question is beat to death, had a quick scan but thought I might as well just ask: I'm just starting down my road for upgrades and was going to upgrade my intercooler piping but save the cooler itself for the next round of purchases. Is this advisable? With the evo x stock piping could I potentially go for an aftermarket cooler without any hookup issues?

Going for boost pill, solenoid, stock evo x UICP/LICP/BPV, and then a tune for the first round. Relating to tuning would anyone recommend Cobb vs GST w/ tactrix? I like the monitoring abilities of the cobb tuners but they seem to have a poor selection of RA maps and it's a fair bit more money.

Cheers.

I believe you can, however the LICP and UICP are larger diameters I believe so you'll need couplers to make it work...All in all I would say its not worth the headache of taking your byumper of twice...you can get stock evo x FMIC, LICP, and UICP for aropund 250 plus shipping....your gonna buy just the piping for around 150 pay shipping on that then buy an intercooler and pay shipping again.

Yeah after posting this I checked out the marketplace and it seems like a lot of people are selling the full set up anyway, sound advice.

...and the UICP is different - you would have to buy another one (EVO X) for the Evo X FMIC

so, yeah, just do all three in one day!
