oh yeh how u took da ring off....? i've been wantin to paint mine ...

Taking the ring off is a pain in the *** for such a small piece. First you take off the intake then you take off the radiotor shroud. After the radiator is exposed you need a short phillips head screwdriver there is I believe 10 screws that hold on the honeycomb grill and the the chrome ring. After all the top screws are out you need to go under the front bumper remove the plastic shielding (mostley body pins and a few bolts) After the plastic shielding is removed use your short screwdrive to remove about another 10 screws from the bottom off the honeycomb (you will see the chrome clips coming through the honey comb grill). After all screws are removed slowly pull off the chrome grill starting from ethier the top or the bottom. There is a tackey glue holding on the center of the chrome trim on both sides slowly pull up till you see the glue stretch take ethier a knive or a razor and cut the glue to fully remove trim. I used some 2000 grit sand paper and water then primed it then painted it with duplicolor flat black. After painting is done I strongly recomend you let it dry over night before install to alow the paint some time to adhere to the trim. I know my instructions are kinda vague but there is a post around here that has better instructions then me.
