Phyllis takes a trip!

Earlier this week, my girlfriend and I got all our stuff packed and got on the road to head up to her cottage in Kalkaska, MI. Long road trip...Phyllis got injured, a rock flew up and put a nice nickle sized dent in my rear fender right on the edge of the wheel well.
Our drive up

It was a pretty boring drive...all the way up I-75. But, once we got off the freeway...the drive got fun .

There were lots of these:

And some of these:

Once we got here:

I noticed this:

Then I took these: (First 3 are HDRs, . I couldn't resist)

After awhile, we decided to head out to the sand dunes...for a 6 mile trek towards Lake Michigan.

Spot the Phyllis:

Took this in the woods on the way out:

On the way back to the cottage I noticed that I was at 11111 miles so I pulled over and snapped a shot of my ODO.

Today is all crappy and raining. Got a nice fire going in the fireplace, got my coffee, and I'm just gonna relax & do some work. It's so quiet and peaceful here .

Haha, we got mosquitoes everywhere. My girlfriend & I get eaten up every time we go out without bug spray on. It's not bad in the suburbs...but up north, it's crazy!

Nice pics, bro! Gotta love Michigan.

Btw, off topic. I'm going to this Oct 1-4. Check it out. You should think about going! http://www.xceedspeed.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=130902

Cool pics. Just curious, what part of MI are you from? I'm originally from Bay City, but moved to Texas for a job after I got out of MSU.
