Replace stock ugly parking brake?

What are the options on replacing the parking brake? I hate the standard plastic one, it is cheap and nasty. should have given us leather ones are something.

Saw that this was an option - but its $181 which is a bit crazy even though it looks nice.

Are there any cheaper options? and how easy are they to install?

$181

mitsubishiparts.net has that parking brake handle for $155.54, so a little cheaper. The new 2010 models come with a leather wrapped handle, so I assume they would offer them as an accessory soon enough. They will go alot better with the RA interior with the steering wheel and shift knob.

Armrest is still suede on the 2010. =)

It has a leather e-brake handle, shifter knob, and steering wheel wrap though!

I looked up the Leather ebrake handle from the 2010 at work and I THINK it was around 150ish.

If your hand brake would... break... somehow... I'm sure they would replace it with the current revision of the part under warranty. But that would be wrong...

Could always get some 3m glue and wrap it yourself. Instead of leather, i'd go for suede personally.

Hmm interesting, haven't seen that yet! Sounds like it would be nice though, as I'm not a big fan of the suede.

Thanks! They added the fake CF accidents all over the front area, which I think helps to update the interior quite a bit. =)

Yes it is a nice touch with the leather. The suede stain too easily.

I also like the little silver trim u have above the fake CF that separates it from the plastic on the dash, that is neat trick they did to heighten the "luxury" .
