Question Polarized side view mirrors

I found these on the web. Anyone have them? They look blueish in color and say "objects in mirror are losing" I think rexspeed makes them.

toredefine has a set of polarized mirrors from Rexspeed, he'll chime in eventually.

I have a set of them and they are by far the best purchase I made for my RA. I always used to get blinded by EVERY car that was behind me, now even if they have HIDs I only see 2 white dots in my side mirror and they completely eliminated my blind spots. Installation was super simple and I did mine when it was -10*C outside because I was too damn impatient Its got really heavy duty 3M double sided tape on the back. Just make sure not to press it on too hard or u might crack it.

Does anyone actually make a replacement mirror? I'm not a fan of the double sided tape add on style.

you could heat up the factory mirror surface and remove it from the housing.....

...then install the rexpeed mirror.

i am sure you would find the factory mirror surface is

held in by some kind of "adhesive".

Id have to investigate before I tried that. Do we know if the mirror just pops off? On my GTI you just pulled gently and it poped off the motor that controlled the angle.

Why would I want to buy another set of stock mirrors?

Yeah I gotcha, I just wanted to know if it was easy to remove to make it easier to try and separate the two parts.

LOL! I love these mirrors. Like others said, they have thick double-sided tape so you could just stick them over your stock mirrors.
