my do luck trunk has arrived
For one I didn't know too much about the Evo at the time. All I knew is there was one in the showroom and it was a stick. So I payed it no mind. Knew nothing about the mr til later. So maybe one day I will get one, gas matience etc is so expense on that car so maybe later
no it's not. the brakes and tires are almost identical in price. also, if you drive the cars in an identical manner, you won't wear either of those items any faster or slower just because it's on a different car.
I can tell you for a fact that the Brembos on the Evo cost WAY more to do any type of servicing on then the RA brakes.
yeah, brembo parts are nearly double the cost if you choose the oem route. and if you are going to consider the aftermarket, then a 215 or 225/45 tire will almost always be cheaper than a 245. you are right about the ability to economize with the evo, when necessary, but who really wants to do that with an evo?
I can tell you for a fact that if you do them yourself, it'll take you more time to get the wheel off than it will to change the pads on the brembo's and cost you HALF of what the dealership will charge you to do a brake job. you can do pads front and rear on an EVO for less than $180, and it takes less than an hour.
