it holds up DECENTLY but its not perfect. the ideal way to go would actually have it clear coated but then you lose the matte finish. Vinyl wrapping it is an option...but plasti-dip is definitely a cheap and good-looking alternative. If you prep it right, it'll last a while.

I don't mind the matte or gloss finish, so I might just take mine to a local body shop and have them paint it black and clear coat it.

They do make a clear plastidip... never tried it though.
